About Us
The Standen Swim Academy is run by our family, and for 25 years, we have shared a true passion for teaching children how to swim and build confidence in the water.
We created our swim school to make learning to swim an enjoyable experience for both you and your child. We focus on positive encouragement, creating a safe environment where children feel relaxed enough to try, make mistakes, laugh, learn, and try again. Our goal is simple: build confidence, teach great technique, and nurture a genuine love for swimming and the water.
We are incredibly proud of our teaching team, which includes some of Hampshire's most experienced and enthusiastic swimming instructors. Our teachers are carefully selected for their knowledge, experience and ability to connect with swimmers as individuals. We recognise that everyone learns differently, so our lessons are designed to be engaging, adaptable and responsive to each swimmer's needs, abilities and goals.
Above all, we are committed to providing high-quality, individual-focused swimming tuition and to helping every swimmer reach their own potential – whatever that looks like for them.
The Standen Swim Academy is an accredited Swim England Swim School, an RLSS UK Club and an Approved Training Centre (ATC).
