for swimmers aged 3 years through to Squad level.

Our intensive holiday courses are a fantastic way for swimmers to build confidence, improve their technique and make rapid progress, with five consecutive days in the pool helping them to practise and reinforce their skills each day.

The course will be held at the fantastic Winchester College swimming pool – a 6-lane, 25m pool with spectator and changing facilities available.

Why choose The Standen Swim Academy?

One of the things that makes our lessons different is our exceptionally small class sizes. Our group lessons have a maximum of just THREE swimmers per class, meaning every swimmer receives plenty of individual attention, feedback and support from their teacher throughout their lesson.

For swimmers who would benefit from completely individual tuition, we also offer Private 1:1 lessons, giving your swimmer their own dedicated teacher for the full 30 minutes. These are perfect for swimmers who may be nervous, have additional needs, want to focus on a particular skill or simply thrive with individual attention.

We also offer Private 1:2 lessons, allowing siblings, friends or two swimmers of a similar ability to share their own exclusive teacher while still receiving a highly personalised lesson.

Throughout the five days, swimmers will work towards the Swim England curriculum, with lessons tailored to their current ability and individual goals.

But swimming lessons should be fun too! We incorporate our much-loved themed lessons throughout the course, keeping swimmers engaged, motivated and excited to get back into the pool each day.

At the end of the week, every swimmer will receive a personal progress report and medal to celebrate their achievements, with swimmers also having the opportunity to achieve Swim England Stage and Distance badges and certificates.

Apply for a Place

Places on our October Half Term Course are very limited, particularly due to our maximum of just three swimmers in each group lesson.

Please complete the application form below and only select the lesson times you would genuinely be happy to book.

Swimmers will attend the same 30-minute lesson time each day, Monday to Friday. Once we receive your application, we will match your swimmer to the most suitable class based on their age, ability and your selected availability.

Once a place has been offered, full payment is required within 48 hours to secure the booking.

Holiday Course Booking Terms & Conditions

The full cost of the 5-day holiday course must be paid at the time of booking. If full payment is not received within 48 hours of your place being offered, the booking will be automatically cancelled and the space may be offered to another swimmer.

If you have paid for a holiday course and subsequently wish to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible.

• If you cancel more than three weeks before the course begins, we will refund your payment in full.

• If you cancel between one and three weeks before the course begins, 50% of the amount paid will be forfeited and the remaining 50% will be credited to your account.

• If you cancel less than one week before the course begins, the full amount paid will be forfeited and no refund or credit will be available.

If you have booked a holiday course and wish to transfer your booking to another holiday course taking place within the same holiday period, we may be able to accommodate this subject to availability, payment of any difference in cost and at the discretion of The Standen Swim Academy.

No refunds, credits or replacement/make-up lessons are available for individual sessions missed during a holiday course, regardless of the reason for absence.

Once the 5-day course has commenced, cancellations will not be eligible for a refund or account credit.
